No, it is beause HRM-Run is not a standaloine device and was not designed to be connected to the app directly. It was designed as a sensor accessory for other Garmin devices. Only the HRM-PRO is a standalone device and has the capability to be added to Garmin Connect directly without the use of a master device.
Bring the device within 3 m (10 ft.) of the sensor. NOTE: Stay 10 m (33 ft.) away from other wireless sensors while pairing. Hold UP. Select > Sensors & Accessories > Add New. Select an option: Select Search All. Select your sensor type. After the sensor is paired with your device, the sensor status changes from Searching to Connected.
I stopped using the HRM Pro for anything "indoor" and use the Polar H10 (ANT+, BLE & Old Analogue support) IMHO - the HRM Pro is not super for me - the plastic chafe "protection" under the clip - will on long runs cut into my skin. For me it is Polar H10 all the way - and Garmin Run pod if I want Running dynamics.Wetting the HRM pro cannot be the problem because 1. I made sure it is wet and 2. bluetooth connection to Garmin Connect would not work (HRM pro is only ON and transmits when worn with established contact to your wet skin). That cannot be normal. Is the HRM pro broken or is it the Fenix 6? Fenix 6X pro version 20.50, HRM pro 7.40 1XjVAIs.
