Not sure how much help this will be but anyway, I have never driven a 1.4 16v Grande Punto, but did have a 1.4 Corsa SXI, 2009 plate, which I had been told was similar if not slightly higher performance than the 1.4 16v Grande Punto. I now have the GP T-Jet, and let me tell you there is a big difference.

The Grande Punto arrived in January 2006, with 1.2 or 1.4-litre petrol engines, plus 1.3 or 1.9-litre diesels; a 120bhp 1.4 turbo petrol T-Jet 120 Sporting was added in August 2007.
